The winners for the MOBO awards were revealed tonight at the 16th staging of the event held for the second time in Scotland. This year’s Awards saw a brilliant array of nominees walking away with the highly prestigious and much desired MOBO Award—an honour, which the organizer’s say ‘have changed many artists’ careers over the past 15 years.’

Sicily born reggae Star Alborosie, was among the list of winners announced for the night, bagging the best reggae accolade at the event. His competitors for this award were Damian Marley & Nas and Mavado. The awards were staged at Glasgow's Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) and were hosted by US star Jason Derulo and singer Alesha Dixon.

The next MOBO awards are scheduled for 2013 and 2015 at the same venue in Glasgow.
